What to build on v0. Decide in 20 minutes.
v0 generates React and Next.js interface code from a prompt: components, pages and layouts you can deploy on Vercel. What it can't tell you is whether the thing is worth building. Nine forced decisions against live G2 and Reddit data, then a v0-optimised spec carrying your buyer, scope, price and launch plan straight into v0 prompt.

What you paste into v0 prompt
A v0 prompt naming the buyer, the single job the interface has to support, and, unusually, the screens not to generate. That last part does most of the work, because v0's default behaviour is to be generous with pages. The example below uses a freelance-accountant idea; yours will be specific to your own.
On v0, scope arrives as screens
v0 makes things look finished. It is very good at interface, quickly, which means the first version of your product that exists is the version other people react to. Friends are impressed. Screenshots look like a company.
The unit of scope creep here is the page. Every idea becomes another screen, because another screen is thirty seconds away, and a product with eleven screens and no pricing model reads as considerably further along than it is. The backend, the buyer and the price are all still theoretical, and none of them is visible in a screenshot.
A designed product is not a validated one. It is a validated one's front end.

9 stages, in order, each one building on the last. Skip one and the next breaks. At the end, the v0-optimised export pastes into v0 prompt.
What changes in v0 prompt
v0 is the same tool either way. The difference is entirely in what it has been told.
Generates eleven screens, because each one is thirty seconds away.
Generates the screens V1 needs and names the ones it deliberately does not.
Designs a daily-use dashboard for a product used twice a month.
Designs for the usage frequency stage 3 actually found.
Produces a pricing page as a layout exercise.
Produces one carrying the tier and number from stage 6.
